Canadian Options in North America

The economic integration of Canada, the United States and Mexico spurred on by trade agreements such as the FTA and NAFTA, continues to raise important economic policy and governance questions as well as security concerns. Completed in 2005, this research program examined the options and trade-offs available to Canada on a broad, strategic level and on some key issues related to North American integration.  It led to a series of standalone research papers, as well as a broad research initiative and an edited volume entitled Thinking North America, which was published as part of The Art of the State series.
