Silas Krabbe is a PhD student in Educational Studies at the University of British Columbia, where he researches educational violence. For the past decade, he has worked as a community co-ordinator in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. He holds a BA in Biblical Studies, an MA in Theological Studies from Regent College and a Master of Education from UBC.

Silas’s research project at the IRPP focuses on barriers to participation in adult learning. Supervised by Professor Judith Walker from the University of British Columbia, his work contributes to the IRPP’s Empowering Workforce Resilience research program.

The Emerging Policy Scholar program at the IRPP engages graduate students in policy research to contribute to the Institute’s ongoing research programs.
