Kate Harland
Research Lead, Mitigation - Canadian Climate InstituteKate Harland leads the research and policy work of the Canadian Climate Institute’s mitigation team on issues including building decarbonization, the future of the gas network and energy affordability. She brings extensive experience analyzing and delivering climate policy and responsible innovation. She has worked with governments across multiple jurisdictions and in both the public and private sectors. Her previous roles include climate policy and economic analysis for the U.K. and European Union, managing low-carbon technology trials for Transport for London, working on low-carbon vehicle strategies for Nissan and acting as research lead for the chief science adviser to the New Zealand prime minister.
