Elizabeth Roscoe is senior vice president and national practice leader in public affairs at Hill+Knowlton Strategies Canada, where she works with clients in regulated sectors such as communications, financial services and energy. With close to 20 years in the communications sector, she gained experience in broadcasting and telecommunications policy development, legislative reviews and CRTC proceedings. She worked as executive vice-president for strategic and public affairs planning at the Canadian Association of Broadcasters, responsible for overseeing regulatory and policy submissions to the federal government and the CRTC, and managing the association’s government relations and public profile. Before this she worked at Shaw Communications and the Canadian Cable Television Association. She established Shaw’s Ottawa office and government relations program during a time of significant expansion for the company. As well, she has been chief of staff to the Hon. Barbara McDougall and the Hon. Michael Wilson, and she also served in Finance Canada and Status of Women Canada, among other government departments.
