Ali Suleman

Ali Suleman has been vice-president and treasurer of Hydro One Inc. since 1999. During this time, Hydro One has become one of the largest nonfinancial corporate debt issuers in Canada. He oversees the debt funding, financial risk management, cash management and banking operations, insurance and claims, and manages relationships with banks, credit rating agencies and fixed income investors. Previously he held various positions within Ontario Hydro’s Treasury Division, and he worked for a number of years in the US Municipal Finance and Mortgage Backed sectors with Kidder Peabody & Company of New York. He was also a consultant to numerous municipal bond issuers. He sat was a member of the board of the Wellesley Institute of Toronto from 2012 to 2018, and he chaired its Finance and Investment Committee from 2015 to 2018.
