Selvia Arshad

Selvia Arshad is a PhD candidate in economics at the University of Calgary, where her research focuses on welfare economics, fiscal policy and income support. Her work examines the design and distributional impacts of tax and transfer policies, with implications for social protection in Canada. Prior to her doctoral studies, she completed a master’s degree in international finance and economics at the University of Sussex. She also worked as a research analyst at the World Bank, where she contributed to macroeconomic monitoring and public expenditure analysis.
