
Louise Levonian
Research Advisor; Chair of the Better Evidence Council, BlueprintLouise Levonian chairs the Better Evidence Council at Blueprint, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the use of evidence in decision-making. She is also a member of the Elmwood School finance committee. Previously, she was the executive director for Canada, Ireland and the Caribbean at the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group. She also served as deputy minister of Employment and Social Development Canada, chair of the Labour Market Information Council, senior associate deputy minister at ESDC, chief operating officer at Service Canada, and chair of the Board of Management and Renewal Sub-committee on Public Service Engagement and Workplace Culture. Prior to joining ESCD, Louise served as associate deputy minister for the Department of Finance, the director of operations (planning) in the Priorities and Planning Secretariat at the Privy Council Office, and as a tax consultant for KPMG â Barents Group. Louise holds an MA in Economics from Queenâs University and a BA in Economics from Carleton University.
