James (Jason) Stewart

Jason Stewart is executive-in-residence at the Global Risk Institute. As well, he is senior fellow at an economic policy institute and president of a private philanthropic foundation. For more than two decades he held senior debt capital markets roles with major investment dealers. He has worked in research, market and policy analysis for organizations such as the Ontario Securities Commission, the Canadian Centre for Economic Analysis, the Bank of Canada and the C.D. Howe Institute, and has authored or co-authored more than 30 articles, reports and studies. His volunteer work includes being on the boards of an international conservation charity and a smart cities nonprofit organization. He also co-chairs the advisory council of a local land trust in Ontario.
