Jeffrey G. Reitz


Jeffrey G. Reitz is a research fellow at the IRPP, providing advice on the Diversity, Immigration and Integration research program, which investigates the labour market integration of immigrants. One of Canada’s leading academic authorities on immigration policy and its impact on Canadian society, he is a professor of sociology, R.F. Harney Professor of Ethnic, Immigration and Pluralism Studies and on the faculty of the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto. His most recent book is Multiculturalism and Social Cohesion: Potentials and Challenges of Diversity (2009). He was recently awarded an EU-funded Marie Curie Fellowship in support of his new project “Muslim Minorities in France, Quebec and Canada: Social, Economic and Political Integration,” and will be based at l’École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris beginning in 2012.
