Miles Corak


Miles Corak provides advice on the Diversity, Immigration and Integration research program, which investigates the labour market integration of immigrants. He is a full professor of economics at the University of Ottawa, where he has worked since 2007. Currently he is a visiting scholar at the Russell Sage Foundation in New York. Before joining the University of Ottawa he was a senior manager with Statistics Canada. He has been a visiting researcher at the UNICEF Innocenti Research Centre, the Centre for Longitudinal Studies at the University of London and at the Office of Population Research at Princeton University. His research focuses on inequality and social mobility, child poverty, unemployment, and access to university education. It has been used by the White House, cited by many of the major print and electronic media, and has informed public policy in Canada and many other OECD countries.
