David N. Biette

David N. Biette is deputy director of the Eastern Regional Conference at the Council of State Governments in New York City. He was founding director of the Canada Institute as well as the Polar Initiative at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, a think tank that serves as the United States’ memorial to the 28th president. He was executive director of the Association for Canadian Studies in the United States, and he was political-economic officer at the Consulate General of Canada in New York City. The co-editor of Canada and the United States: Differences That Count (4th edition), he is also the author of many chapters, policy briefs, and op-eds. He has an MA in international relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, a BA from Bowdoin College in Maine, and a Diplôme de Hautes Études de Lettres et Civilisation from the Université de Nice in France.
