Kim West is a partner and chief client officer at NATIONAL Public Relations. She oversees the growth, innovation and profitability of NATIONAL’s health, marketing, corporate and technology practices in Toronto and serves on its board of directors. Previously she spent 20 years building a successful communications firm in Atlantic Canada, which she and her partners sold to NATIONAL in 2012. She was a founding director of the Atlantic chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors, and she is a faculty member on crisis communication and reputation management at the Directors College, Toronto. In 2013, she received her Institute of Corporate Directors certification. She has served on many professional, educational and community boards, including Medavie Inc., Medavie Health Foundation (chair), St. Francis Xavier University (vice-chair), Halifax Chamber of Commerce (chair), IWK Health Centre, CAA Maritimes, and the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS). Kim West is a member of the CPRS and the International Women’s Forum, and was inducted into the CPRS-Canadian College of Fellows in 2010. She holds a BA in political science (honours) from St. Francis Xavier University.
