Electoral and Civic Involvement of Canada’s Immigrant Communities

On October 25, 2013, the Institute for Research on Public Policy, with support from Elections Canada, Samara, the Maytree Foundation and the Centre for the Study of Democratic Citizenship at McGill University, held a workshop on the electoral and civic involvement of Canada’s immigrant communities. The event was held at the Samara offices in Toronto, and the more than 30 participants included academic experts, government officials, former political party activists and representatives of a variety of nongovernmental organizations.
